Does anyone else have a list of Christmas movies that you always try to watch? I’m sure that’s not just something I do. Back when I was in college and was first living on my own, I had a big stack of Christmas DVDs that I would get out right after Thanksgiving and watch all the way through Christmas. Thankfully, now I can stream pretty much anything…though I do still have a few of those DVDs in the closet.
The “must-watch” list has definitely changed since then, and there have been some additions, but it has always included a few of these, including White Christmas. Fun fact time: one our first “date,” Stephen and I watched White Christmas together. So, we always sit down and make a point to watch it as a date night during the holidays.
Instead of putting together my own version of 25 Days of Christmas (I mean, I could…but we’ve only got 12 more days!), I decided to put together a 12 Days of Christmas: Movie Edition. There are multiples listed on a couple of these and I will tell you why:
Home Alone 2: Lost in New York is the best Home Alone movie, that’s my opinion. But some people prefer the first one, I don’t know. That’s up to y’all.
I grew up watching Mickey’s Christmas Carol and have a serious soft spot for it. I also think The Muppet Christmas Carol is cute, and A Christmas Carol is good, too. They’re all based on the same story and Mickey’s Christmas Carol is extremely short. So, pick your favorite there, too!
