As many of you know, just over a year ago, Beth, Meredith, and I founded a local blogging community to connect with other bloggers in Birmingham and the surrounding areas. All three of us were post-grad and in need of a like-minded group of bloggers to bounce ideas off of and try to figure out the blogging world with. Little did we know that a year later, we would have such a wonderful community in Birmingham…with nearly 200 active members. I still can’t believe that we’re still growing every day!
Back in April we got to got to see all the work that we’ve done on Birmingham Bloggers for the last year come together at our One Year Anniversary Bash, hosted at The Nest in Birmingham, a fabulous space in Avondale that you couldn’t go wrong choosing for any number of different events. With the help of our friends at West Elm and local restaurants Slice and Full Moon BBQ, the bash was well decorated and stocked with delicious food. Plus, the drink of the evening, a sparkling Honeysuckle Lemonade spiked with booze from one of our favorites, Cathead Vodka. I don’t think the night could’ve been better, as you can see from these gorgeous photos from our event photographer.
It was so wonderful to see all the fabulous members of the our network come together for a fun night out. We’ve met so many new people, and been blessed with some fantastic opportunities in the last year. I can’t wait to see what the next year holds for Birmingham Bloggers.
