While you guys can always find my reading list if you’re looking for a book suggestion, I’ve decided that I need to start sharing my reading goals each month. Every year I plan to read more since it’s one of my favorite things, and every year I end up with a stack of books that I didn’t make it through. Hopefully, by sharing my monthly reading goals here, I can do my best to stick to them! (And maybe I won’t have such a big stack of books on the end table gathering dust.)
Ok, I’ve been reading this one for a while now. It’s such a great book, I’ve honestly only struggled with it because the physical book is SO big. I mean, I like big books (and I cannot lie) but I can’t carry a book this size in my bag, nor do I feel like I’ve made any progress in it, even though I have! My biggest reading goal this month is to mark this one off my reading list!
On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed.
If you had the chance to change history, would you?
Would the consequences be worth it? (via Goodreads)
I participated in a book exchange last summer and this is the book that showed up in my mailbox. It was one that I hadn’t heard of, but it sounds really interesting via the book jacket.
Here’s what it says on Goodreads:
A beautiful and distinguished family.
A private island.
A brilliant, damaged girl; a passionate, political boy.
A group of four friends—the Liars—whose friendship turns destructive.
A revolution. An accident. A secret.
Lies upon lies.
True love.
The truth. We Were Liars is a modern, sophisticated suspense novel from New York Times bestselling author, National Book Award finalist, and Printz Award honoree E. Lockhart.
Read it.
And if anyone asks you how it ends, just LIE.
This one is on modern branding and marketing in the social media age. I’ve started to do a little bit of social media consulting, so I’m in the market for any books that can help me learn more and start to think about new approaches to social media and marketing. (Here’s to always learning!)
Do you have any reading goals? Please send me suggestions and let me know what you’re reading this month!
