All this time at home has me craving something sweet, how about you? I mean…I already work from home, but now that I don’t go anywhere during the day it just feels different. So, I rummaged through my pantry to figure out what I could make. These simple chocolate chip muffins are just the thing. Warm them up, add a little butter, and enjoy these with your favorite cup of coffee. So, so good.
My favorite thing about this recipe is that you probably have everything on hand that you need to make them. If you don’t have chocolate chips. you could replace them with practically anything! Personally, I’m not a fan of blueberries, but they’d be the perfect replacement for chocolate chips if you would rather choose them.
Also, that crunchy brown sugar topping? Yum. The batter isn’t overwhelmingly sweet, and the topping gives you a little extra sweet and a little more texture.
I promise, these are seriously simple to put together. Recently I made them with my 4-year-old niece, if that tells you how easy. Her favorite parts were sneaking chocolate chips and sprinkling handfuls of sugar on top of the batter before baking them.
She told me they were “deeeeeeeelicious” if that tells you anything.
PS: Loving these simple chocolate chip muffins? These dark chocolate and pumpkin spice muffins recipe are even easier!
