When I used to visit S. in Athens before we were married, we’d often drive past places that he’d tell me we had to try sometime. Cali n Tito’s was one of those. It’s a cool little shack in Five Points that serves some pretty fantastic food from a huge menu. After the first time we went, Cali n Tito’s quickly became a favorite of mine. I always go for their fish tacos with chipotle sauce, one fried and one grilled. Their chipotle sauce is so, so good, y’all–as is their fresh salsa. S. is a fan of their quesadillas, but always has me order an extra taco, fried with no onion. The last time we went to Cali n Tito’s, churros were ordered. They were perfectly coated in cinnamon sugar and had a delicious crunch on the outside.
If you’re ever in Athens, make sure you stop by and definitely order the churros for dessert.
