How to Make a Festive Cranberry Mule
New & different cocktails are so much fun to make, don’t you think? This year, I wanted to make something different than I normally do. After some deliberation, I decided to call this a Cranberry Mule (it may or may not actually be considered one…but I tried). I really enjoy making cranberry cocktails during the holidays, because they just look so festive! Look, try a cranberry mimosa on Christmas morning—festive and so yummy! Plus, I can mix them up and serve them in my lovely Christmas tree glasses and make it EXTRA festive, right?
Now, most of my cocktails either involve vodka or sparkling wine. For this one, I decided to challenge myself to make a whiskey cocktail for the holidays! Ok, you caught me. I do not enjoy whiskey. BUT I really like the way this Cranberry Mule turned out. The little bit of cranberry cuts the strong whiskey flavor, and topping it off with ginger beer gives it a nice fizz and some holiday spice, too! I promise, this one is really simple (the best kinds of cocktails always are!)
On another note, when I mix up my Cranberry Mules…I don’t use any fancy barware of any kind. I just mix them up straight in the glass…and measure my ingredients with a regular old measuring cup. So, there you go.
Cheers to a wonderful holiday season!
