I was never a big watch (or bracelet) wearer when I was younger. Even through college I really disliked having jewelry on my wrists. Can I blame studying fine art and working on the computer a lot?
In the last few years I’ve really started wearing a watch practically every day. I’ve got a dressy watch, my fitness tracking watch, but I didn’t have an in-between one. This JORD beauty is a lovely shade of maroon and perfect for wearing with my favorite game day outfits. Oh, and it’s made of wood. How cool is that? It’s surprisingly light and easy to wear. I love the little details on it, like the Swarovski crystals on the mother of pearl face & the little peek into the inner workings of the watch. And of course, I couldn’t leave out the hubs; his wooden timepiece is quite an eye-catcher. I’m pretty sure the exposed gears are what made him choose this particular style. I mean, he’s got good taste, if I do say so myself.
Once you settle on your favorite JORD watch, they send you a printable sizer for you to measure your wrist, it’s really quick and easy. Personally, I would rather have my watch fit a little loose, and luckily they size their watches pretty perfectly when you send them your exact wrist size. Both of ours were a perfect fit, not too tight and not too loose.
These watches are absolutely gorgeous, and really unique. Stephen picked the watch that I thought he would choose, and I know it would’ve been a perfect holiday gift to pick up for him. So if you’re already thinking about a Christmas gift for your man like I am (I know, it’s really early for that), make sure you check out their selection of stellar men’s watches.

Now, let’s talk about that dress for a second. This soft, flowy maroon maxi is super comfortable. I wore it all day while wandering around town, and then threw on a jacket when it got chilly during the game that night. It’s really a perfect dress for these early fall game days.
He wore his go-to kind of outfit for game day: khaki shorts, a long-sleeved dri-fit team polo, and his favorite bulldog hat. Somehow, it was cool enough that day for him to wear the long sleeves all day and throw on a jacket late that night.
