With the arrival of the warm weather and sunshine come tables and tables of farm fresh fruit and veggies. Market season is in full swing here in Georgia, so my Saturday mornings are spent wandering through Athens Farmers Market. My first stop is always the 1000 Faces Coffee tent for a perfect pour over, then I try to snag a chocolate croissant which never makes it long enough to be photographed. This weekend I got lucky and made it in time to pick up a pint of the sweetest locally grown strawberries, which didn’t even make it a full day at our house. And, of course, I headed home with some of my regular items: bright and crisp baby romaine, brightly-colored radishes, and a snack bowl of feta chunks, cucumber, tomatoes, and kalamata olives. What are your favorite things to pick up from your local farmers market?
