As you guys know from this post, I am all about the star pattern. So when I saw this little gold star printed cami on sale, I snatched it up immediately. It’s a little oversized, so i like to wear it tucked into high-waisted jeans. But it is just so much fun to style! Since the weather is still a little cool around here, I grabbed my favorite denim jacket on the way out the door to complete the look.
I actually wore this to meet up with my friend Lacey on Friday for some home decor adventures at the Restoration Hardware outlet in north Georgia. We didn’t have any time to share much of what we were doing on Friday, what with all of our driving and shopping and talking. But not to worry, I think you’ll be seeing more of her over on Instagram. We finally met (in person) at a conference in Orlando last summer after lot of interacting on social media.
Blogging is a funny thing. It’s easy for everyone to feel like we’re all competing and just trying to claw our way to the top. And there can be so much bitterness. But in this strange community, we can also meet other people who understand that there is a place for all of us. We make actual, real friends with people who have similar stories. We struggle with the same things, and we find support when we need it and give support when we can. When you’re trying to work as a blogger, it can be easy to miss out on making the friends because so many bloggers are only focused on fighting against others. Community over competition, always, always, always. I’ve been lucky in the six years that I’ve been blogging to meet a lot of the good ones, and only a few of the bad. Here’s to more of those good ones, because y’all sure do make good friends. ♥
