Crust
  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Mix together butter, brown sugar, and flour with a pastry cutter until crumbly.
  3. Press into a 9/13 baking dish and bake for 10 minutes.
Orange Slices
  1. Cut the orange slices in half lengthwise.
  2. Cover the crust in the halved orange slices and set aside.
Topping
  1. Mix together the eggs, brown sugar, and vanilla extract.
  2. Combine the flour, salt, and baking powder, and sift over the wet ingredients.
  3. Mix in the chopped pecans and spread the mixture evenly over the orange slices.
  4. Bake for 20 minutes, then let them sit overnight before cutting them into bars.
Recipe Notes

*These orange slice bars are better if you make them a few days before you serve them. Slice them up and store them in a tin or covered dish.
