I’ve finally figured out how to make boiled peanuts, a favorite snack here in the south. These would be a perfect snack to make for a holiday get-together, they were really easy! The first batch I made was way too salty, so I switched out table salt for coarse ground kosher salt and cut the amount in half. This recipe has a bit of cajun flavor to it, but they’re not too spicy. So tell me, are you a cajun or a salted boiled peanut fan?
Here’s what you need:
1lb. Green Peanuts
6 cups water
Less than 1/4 cup coarse ground salt
2.5 Tablespoons Cajun Seasoning
1 Tablespoon Hot Sauce
1/8 teaspoon Garlic Powder
