This weekend was spent wandering the streets of Savannah, brunching on all kinds of good food, and celebrating the precious marriage of two dear friends. Our group settled on a quaint little apartment called Jasmine Quarters and I packed up my new luggage and set off for Savannah on Friday afternoon.
The apartment was bright and welcoming, only a few blocks from River Street and a quick five minute walk to Oglethorpe Square, where we were attending the wedding on Saturday. We loved that we were able to park the car in the little garage and walk everywhere we found that we wanted to go. It was the perfect location for a weekend of wandering!
If you’re looking for something good to eat, we tried the sliders at B & D Burgers on Friday night (try the Veggie Sliders), had brunch at B. Matthews on Saturday (I had Fried Green Tomatoes Benedict…so good), and finished with breakfast at Henry’s on the way out of town.
Of course, no weekend in Savannah is complete without a walk down River Street and a stop in for pralines and salt water taffy at River Street Sweets. I picked up a box of pralines and stopped off to watch the process of pulling fresh taffy on the way out the door.
