Studio to Street Style
I’ve been thinking about starting this new series for a while, and I’m thrilled to finally be sharing it! Since I work from home, I have a lot of freedom with how I dress. Unfortunately, if I dress in pajama-like clothes, it just makes me feel lazy and sluggish–and that does not mix well with motivation. So, most mornings I get up and get dressed in whatever I plan to wear to the gym that day.
Obviously, I want to dress up a little bit more when I’m going to be out around town, right? Right. Let’s be honest, though: I really don’t want to do the extra laundry that comes with adding another outfit to the day. So, I’ve been mixing up my outfits by switching out a couple of pieces to dress up my workout wear.
Camo Leggings from the Studio to the Street
For the first post in this series, I’m showing you how I take my favorite camo leggings from a workout to a trip downtown. If you follow me on Instagram, I know you’ve seen me wearing these camo leggings a ton since I got them. They are the most comfortable leggings for yoga! They don’t fall down and they really hold up well. For a yoga class, I would pair them with a lightweight top and a good pair of sneakers to get me to and from the studio.
To transition this outfit for dinner downtown or going out for drinks, I’d just make two quick switches. Since it’s still a little chilly here (where are you, spring?), I’d swap my lightweight top for an oversized sweater. Side note: I wear this sweater ALL THE TIME. It’s so soft & cozy…and it’s really affordable. Swap out those sneakers for my trusty combat boots, and I’m ready to go! Well, after dousing my hair in dry shampoo of course.
And that’s it! A quick change and these comfy camo leggings are ready to grab drinks, dinner, or even just run a few errands.
