Athens has a few great breweries, so we’ve been trying to check them out when we can. This week, we found out Terrapin was offering some fun, limited edition glasses for the Wild Rumpus that’s happening this weekend. (which is SO much fun, if you’re anywhere near Athens on Halloween). Right after work on Thursday, we decided to head on over to Terrapin for a tasting tour before heading to see Goosebumps. We may have also picked up a can of Jittery Joe’s Monster blend while we were there, too.
We hurried out the door to get to Terrapin with plenty of time to relax before heading to see a movie, so I grabbed my favorite plaid, also seen here, and threw on a pair of sneakers on the way out the door. I wasn’t sure about the pattern mixing that was going on here, but it’s not so bad, right?
How great is this tee, anyway?
Originally, I had planned to wear it on my trip to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, but it arrived the day after we left for our trip. But, since I wear my golden snitch necklace on the regular, I figure I ought to just keep up the Harry Potter fandom. This thing is super comfy, a great slouchy tee that you could layer or wear on it’s own. I’ll definitely be wearing this tee a lot, and you might just see it make another appearance here.
Back to our trip to Terrapin: We got lucky, and the weather was perfect for wandering around their outdoor area while live music played, and we got to try out a few really fun fall brews. I’m pretty sure my husband’s favorite brew from Terrapin is either Hopsecutioner or Liquid Bliss (Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter, whaaaaat?). I’m not sure I have a favorite, though their Pumpkin Fest is one of the best fall seasonal brews I’ve tried. We were lucky and got to try their new limited release brew, The Walking Dead, and we both really enjoyed that one, too. We’ll definitely be heading back to Terrapin again, especially during this perfect fall weather. Have you taken tasting tours of your local breweries?
