I’ve been searching for the perfect crossbody bag for a while now. Most of the ones I find are just a little too small for my taste, but then I found this stunner. Obviously Jennifer and Elizabeth loved it too, so we decided that it was the perfect piece to kick off our new series: Styled Three Ways!

If you follow me on instagram, I’m sure you’ve already seen this plaid a couple of times. It’s definitely a closet staple for me this fall. I think you’ll probably see it a couple more times, too. I’ve always opted for more colorful plaids, but decided to grab this black and white one during Gap’s last big sale and I’m so glad I did. It’s super soft, not too heavy, and the black and white pattern is a perfect neutral for throwing on when there’s a chance it might get chilly later in the day.
I always love to pair a black and white look with a pop of red, so this plaid was a comfy and casual way to style my go-to red crossbody. This bag is really the perfect size for almost anything, and a great size for heading out to tailgate for the day. (I think it’s a pretty good Georgia red, too–if that’s your thing. You all know I’m always rooting for the Mississippi State bulldogs, but living in Athens makes you notice these things.)

Also, can we talk about the fact that flare jeans are back? I’m all about my favorite skinny jeans, but these fab flares are so fun to dress up, and I hear that a good pair of flares can make you look like you’re taller and a little more leggy than you are, which is good for us shorter ladies, am I right? I’m looking forward to wearing these a lot this fall.
