This past weekend we made the trip back to Mississippi for my ten year high school reunion (WHAT). All this time has flown by, and it was actually good to see some of the people that I went to school with. I’m from a small town, so the majority of my graduating class has known each other since kindergarten (or earlier). I had picked out a bright, floral maxi dress to wear to our rooftop dinner that was the first of two events over the weekend, but it just wasn’t quite right. About a week before the event, I was downtown and popped into Fab’rik to spend a gift card and found the perfect off the shoulder jumpsuit, in my opinion.
Yes, a rooftop event in north Mississippi in the middle of June is HOT. This off the shoulder jumpsuit kept me a little cooler than I would’ve been in the first dress I’d picked, plus the fabric is perfectly thin & breezy…and it doesn’t show sweat (bonus!) I decided to keep things simple and carry the cutest nude bag and wear a matching , easy, breezy, and no fuss. By the way, would you have guessed that this is a crossbody bag? It matches pretty much everything, and I just tucked the strap inside to carry it as a clutch.
So what did I learn this weekend? Sometimes it’s fun to catch up with people that you grew up with, but make sure you wear something that you’re comfortable (and confident) in. I loved this off the shoulder jumpsuit when I tried it on in the store, and loved it just as much when I put it on to head to our event!
