When Meredith and Beth were headed my way for the weekend, I made sure to have some girls’ night in staples for us to enjoy: a couple of bottles of wine and, of course, a few different cheeses for us to snack on. For the cheese tray, I picked up some Havarti with Dill, Chevre Goat Cheese, and a Cheddar & Gruyere Melange. I paired the cheeses with some simple crackers, Trader Joe’s Some Enchanted Crackers, and also picked up some garlic stuffed olives and baby carrots to give it a little variety.
As for the wine, I always try to have one red and one white on hand at any time, just in case. And, like most people, I have a couple of wines that I know I can grab without really thinking about it. It just so happens that one of my go-to wines is the same one that I picked to be served at our wedding reception (with cheese appetizers, too). I’m a Cabernet girl so I grabbed a Cupcake Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon, and also a couple of bottles of Cupcake Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc. These are great wines and absolutely budget-friendly, plus you can find them on sale pretty regularly. What are your staples for a fun girls’ night in?
